    The great British strawberry has arrived. This year we are simply serving these beautiful berries with a generous jug of fresh single cream and a sugar shaker so that you can douse your own. To be served all through July, quintessentially English dessert perfectly timed for that other summer classic, Wimbledon.

      Our summer BBQ is back, but this time with a U S of A twist! Think rubs, ribs and pulled pork. There will be lashings of Pimm’s to accompany the summer sunshine.

          Posh Pork to Fork

          A new one for The Thatch, and we’re really excited. Join us for a visit to Long Crendon Manor, our local pork supplier, situated in a beautiful historic manor house grounds, where we will learn the inner workings of the pig farm, accompanied by a glass of Champagne. We’ll then head back to the pub for a three course pork feast, joined by Todd from Aspall, who will be expertly matching each course with a cyder.

            Frazer’s Posh Pub Quiz

            To mark start the new school year, it’s time to put your summer studies of food and wine to the test, and of course your Thame general knowledge. Those of you that have been to our Posh Pub Quiz before, you’ll know that we do things a little differently. It’s free to attend and includes several tasters.                 Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition

                Celebrating All Hallows Eve, we will be holding our annual pumpkin carving competition. Pick up your pumpkin from the pub from the 23rd October and the winner of the best jack-o-lantern will be drawn at 7.00pm 31st October.
                Join us for dinner with special dishes showing homage to the glorious pumpkin.
