A Message from Sara

Hello everyone
As some of you may already know, Jane and Jeremy have decided to take a break and have stepped down from Eight at The Thatch.
It was a very hard decision for them to take, as they were thrilled to have had the chance of running their own restaurant here in Thame and achieved so much in the time they were here. Although it has not been possible for them to continue, they have not lost their dream and still plan to start their own restaurant before too long, probably in their home county of Cornwall.
Jane and Jeremy have handed over the day to day running of Eight at the Thatch to local award-winning pub company Peach, who have appointed a new head chef Ross Whitmill to carry on the great work Jeremy did in the kitchen. You’ll still see the same faces in the rest of the pub, though, with myself, Glenn and the team working hard to ensure a warm welcome and wonderful food and drink, whenever you pop in.
Jane and Jeremy would like to thank everyone who gave them such tremendous support during their time at Eight at the Thatch and hope to see them in Cornwall.
We’d like to congratulate them on the birth of their son Joseph and wish them the very best of luck for the future.

PS Watch out for our fantastic new summer menu coming shortly – there’ll be lots of mouth-watering treats. Our terrace is open for summer dining and drinking and we’re serving freshly brewed coffee from 10am.
