Hi Everyone

Hope your new year is going well?

Ours has been busy. Jeremy has been doing really well in the kitchen - especially since our Le Manoir support stepped back just before Christmas leaving Jeremy and his team of chefs to soldier on! We'd like to thank Jak, Andy, Steve, Mark and Kevin for all their hardwork. Jeremy moved from his cold starters and dessert section and has been doing brilliantly on the mains for the last few weeks. It gets so hot in that kitchen - rather him than me!!

I, on the other hand, have been really getting to grips with finances and office-processes; which my ever-growing bump has appreciated! I will be going on maternity leave from this weekend, although as I am finding out, as a business owner you never rest, even when you're on leave! Luckily I have great internet access at home and can still dip in and out of emails, bookings and enquiries; so please keep in touch.

I expect I'll be in and out of the restaurant too - it's going to be tough to switch off! So hope to see you all soon.

We did manage a day out last week, to the studios of UKTV's Market Kitchen; filming for a programme that will be aired on Monday 4 February on the UKTV Food channel at 7pm i think. Tune in to watch Jeremy cook-up an amazing Twice Baked Souffle that can be found on our Winter Menu. Galton Blackiston and Tom Parker Bowles even said it was delicious!! For a non-tv chef, Jeremy was a natural!

We're both feeling a little more comfortable as restrauteurs now but it is still early days and there are still areas to be improved upon - as well as a lot of learning to do. Our bookings system, we're hoping, is greatly improved meaning that 99% of our guests are able to speak to someone in the restaurant to book a table. Do remember that you can book online though as well.

Now that I will have a bit more time in front of the laptop I will try to keep this blog updated...until the baby comes that is and then who knows what spare time I'll have!!
