Happy New Year to you and thank you so much for your support since we were announced as winners! Sorry i havent updated my blog for so long - we just havent had time to stop and breathe!

It’s been a whirlwind few months but we’ve had a really busy but fantastic time over Christmas and New Year as we’ve begun to have a peek in to how it feels to be real restaurateurs! We’ve met such supportive people in Thame and everybody’s positive comments have really given us the encouragement to move in to 2008 with renewed energy.

We have a really supportive team around us – especially Natalie with me front of house, and Jak with Jeremy in the kitchen – and I know that our learning from here on in will be an exciting time.

My pregnancy is going very fast; with only 9 weeks left to go I will be taking more of an office-based role with lots of financial spreadsheets to get my head around, so will sadly be in the restaurant less – although will definitely still be around (please email me if you need to on jane.hooper@thethatchthame.co.uk) . However, Jeremy will continue to be cooking away in the kitchen and hopes to offer daily specials as we move in to January and a refreshed menu for February-time.

Raymond, Jeremy and I are working on the 8-course menu but no date is set as yet….so watch this space!

Thank you again to everyone for their support and please remember that our bar area can be used just for a drink and/or a snack; that we have a private dining room that can be used for business meetings, and that we have tables set aside so that you do not need to always book.
